ABOUT ROGER DODGER
The Renaissance Man
Greetings & Salutations! My name is Roger Bryant Hill II, AKA Roger Dodger.
I’m a DJ, fitness coach, entrepreneur, community leader, and autism advocate who believes that music, movement, and meaningful connections have the power to change lives.
Whether I’m behind the DJ booth creating unforgettable moments, coaching someone toward their fitness goals, or organizing events that bring people together, my purpose has always been the same:
To help people move, grow, and connect.
That purpose didn’t happen overnight—it was built through my own journey of growth, perseverance, and learning to embrace who I am.

My Journey
Growing up, I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (formerly known as Asperger’s Syndrome). At the age of four, my Vacation Bible School teacher raised concerns to my grandmother that I would repeatedly fall out of my chair during class and would play near other students rather than interacting with them. The Catholic Archdiocese conducted an assessment and concluded that I was either “mentally retarded” or “autistic”. When my mom found out about this, she was immediately concerned and also had doubts about the assessment because of how articulate and intelligent I was for my age. At the time, she had limited understanding about autism and believed that autistic people were nonverbal and exhibit extreme behaviors.
My mom took me to get a second opinion at the Westside Regional Center and it turns out that second opinion determined my diagnosis. The doctor gave my mom a pamphlet that precisely described the characteristics that I exhibited: hypersensitivity to loud noises, awkward physical movements, rigid when touched, poor eye contact, no concept of personal space and often rely on movie/show scripts to express emotions.
I started to take occupational therapy and—most importantly—speech & language therapy at LA Speech & Language Therapy Center located in Culver City. It is my second home and I am forever grateful for the work they have helped me put in to be the best version of myself.
For a long time, I understood that I experienced the world differently than many people around me. While there were challenges, those experiences also shaped strengths that continue to influence every part of my life—attention to detail, creativity, determination, and the ability to think differently.
Rather than allowing autism to define my limits, I chose to let it strengthen my purpose.
One lesson helped guide me throughout my life and it’s a quote told to me by Dr. Pamela Wiley, CEO/Founder of LA Speech & Language:
“Autism is a label, but it doesn’t define your potential.”
That belief continues to inspire everything I do.
⸻
Music
Music has always been more than entertainment for me.
It’s a language that connects people regardless of age, background, or life experiences.
As a DJ, my goal isn’t simply to play great songs.
It’s to create experiences.
From weddings and private celebrations to community events and nightlife, I love seeing people smile, dance, and create memories they’ll never forget.
Every event is an opportunity to bring people together.
⸻
Fitness
In July of 2024, my fitness journey started when I stumbled upon a community that was passionate about helping others reach their fitness goals and promoting a healthy lifestyle change. I met a coach that encouraged me to join a nutrition program that helped me drop 26lbs in 2 months.
Fitness taught me something that extends far beyond the gym.
Discipline.
Consistency.
Confidence.
Through coaching, I’ve discovered that physical transformation often begins with a mental transformation.
Helping someone believe in themselves is just as rewarding as watching them reach their goals.
Fitness isn’t about becoming perfect.
It’s about becoming a stronger version of yourself—physically and mentally.
⸻
Community
One thing I value most is bringing people together and connecting the right people.
Whether it’s through Silk Sessions, Club Cardio, community events or educational programs, I want people to feel welcomed, encouraged, and connected. My parents used to always tell me:
“It’s not about WHAT you know, it’s WHO you know.”
You can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don’t connect yourself with the right people, it can stunt your growth in your line of work or in life.
Community has the ability to change lives, and I’m passionate about creating environments where people can grow together.
⸻
Why I Do What I Do
People often ask how DJing, fitness, community events, and autism advocacy all fit together.
The answer is simple.
They’re all different ways of serving people.
Every event I DJ… every client I coach… every piece of content I create… every community event I organize is another opportunity to help someone discover confidence, experience joy, or realize they’re capable of more than they believed.
That’s what drives me every day.
⸻
My Mission
To inspire people to live healthier, stronger, and more connected lives through music, fitness, education, and community.
I believe everyone deserves an opportunity to grow, regardless of their background or the challenges they’ve faced.
My goal is to continue creating experiences that leave people better than when they arrived.
Because at the end of the day…
It’s never been just about music.
It’s never been just about fitness.
It’s always been about people.
⸻
Let’s Move, Grow & Connect.
Whether you’re looking for an unforgettable DJ, personalized fitness coaching, a motivational speaker, or a community that believes in your potential…
I’d love the opportunity to work with you.
Let’s create something meaningful together.
